Salman has 10 years’ worth of international business development experience, having been instrumental in the facilitation of foreign and domestic direct investment into the Western Cape Province. 

He was the Head of Wesgro’s Investment Promotion Unit (2015 – 2017), and was responsible for coordinating the Agency’s efforts in securing an estimated R11.6bn worth of direct investment over the period. Salman has since moved on to commercialize the Invest SA, One Stop Shop (Western Cape) – a co-location investment centre that comprises of 14 regulators who assist multinational corporations expedite regulatory processes as they seek to locate operations in the region. 

Born out of his passion for creating value within business, government and society, Salman has a degree in Political Science from the University of Cape Town; and an MBA cum laude from the University of Stellenbosch’s Business School.
